What is Sedo?

Rating: +1

Positive Negative

Sedo is a marketplaces for buying and selling domain names and websites. You can buy, sell or park domain names using this website. It has over 5 million domains on sale and many websites have found their names on this site.

You can park your domain names at Sedo and expect to generate a bit of extra income from any traffic the domain may get. By parking a domain name at Sedo you are allowing them to show a page of adverts (text links) on that domain – when people end up at this parked page and click an advert you are then rewarded with a percentage of the click through value.

When you add domains to your Sedo account you can also mark them as “for sale” and specify your asking price (or ask users to make offers). Sedo is one of the biggest marketplaces for domain names and websites.

You can also search through millions of domain names and websites to find a domain name for yourself. You would be buying from another user – but the deal is done via Sedo’s escrow service, meaning your cash is held until the domain is transferred to you successfully. If the transfer fails, then they return the money back to you.

Sedo charges a small percentage (around 10%) for any domain names/ websites that are sold via their site.
